- All productivity is the interface of what and when.
- Manage what proactively rather than reactively i.e. plan, choose and anticipate.
- Manage what with a Master List i.e. 1 list in 1 place of all you have to do, want to do, work and home.
- Review that list daily, weekly and monthly.
- Break large tasks down so that all on your Master List is brain and time friendly.
- Schedule ahead when you will do tasks with the use of an old-school wall planner.
- Do not plan with the calendar on the phone: screen size simply cannot provide the overview and perspective you need if you are to keep out of the swamp.
- Get good at the polite no. Because every 'yes' to more work says no to health, your son's bedtime story and that game of squash.
- Focus on your vital few every day. Improve systems to manage your trivial many.
- Review Productivity 101
- Try Meet Molly for our heroine’s perspective on this (and much, much more).
- Remind yourself you can do anything but you cannot do everything.
