Excellent advice given to aspiring writers is ‘to start’. No more ‘bla, bla, bla…’. Just start writing. 

Absolutely true and vital advice.

I’d add that it’s incredibly useful to ‘finish’. To write the last chapter.  Knowing this is done removes huge amounts of pressure, gives you a clear goal and allows plot to unfold appropriately.

Start, sure. Finish, too.
