Basics 7: Questions

1. open: to encourage conversation, how are you? 
2. closed: for a yes or no or finite piece of information, what is the budget exactly?
3. probing: asking questions until hesitation to understand depth of knowledge, who is making the final decision and who is his boss and what motivates him?
4. lateral: asking what might we do differently, and the impact if we were solely on-line?
5. proactive: considering what do we need to anticipate? and if she is elected?
6. critical: what do we need to do better? on a scale of 1-10, what would the person in the street say about our telephone support?
7. reflective: and what do you think?
