Back to School, for those at work: 11

1. Decide your timetable. Work time, play time. Be time. Creative time. Writing time. Schedule it. Timetables work.
2. Sign up for more sport. Less couch, more movement. Less gym, more sport.
3. Take your own lunch. No man can survive solely on pizza and chips.
4. Don't drop languages. It's not just about navigating the menu in Madrid it's also about a flexible brain.
5. Read more than the reading list. By definition, that's a minimum. Make it a habit not to do the minimum.
6. Stop playing with your phone when you should be working.
7. If team games are not for you, fine. Just make sure you are a High Performing Individual.
8. Clean  up your fountain pen. And write more long-hand. There's a stack of benefits in the hand-eye-brain connection, the aesthetics of hand-writing and a break from the key-board.
9. Thank great teachers. It's nice to be appreciated.
10. Spend money on anything which helps you learn, become skilful and gain mastery.
11. Remember that education is everywhere. Just wake up, observe and take notes.
