Why We Love The Beatles (v2) 45 of 100

It's curious that many of us cringe a little, certainly laugh a lot and sometimes despair when we see pictures of ourselves in younger days. The problem is we look so un-cool! Where did we get that jacket from? What convinced us that a hair-cut like that would suit us? And did we really think that was a beard?

But those Liverpool Lads: they had such style. Take any year, any period of their Beatles life. Open any page, look at any image and they ooze style. Those smart suits. The crazy velvet jackets. Be-stubbled and jeaned. Working-class hero berets. Sergeant Pepper uniforms. Long hair. Cropped heads. Together. On their own. Smiling. Black and white photo. In colour. Still. Film. Serious. Formal. In-formal. Yep, those lads had style. And that's the thing. We often copy style. The Beatles created their own.

That’s another reason we love The Beatles.
