Glug, helmet, pressing down and he moved fast along the empty desolate roads. And then suddenly he slowed: this was the kind of thing. It was fenced but not inhospitable. A small low building just red-brick; parking, lots of space and big windows all boarded up at the moment. He pulled himself and his bike through a broken bit of the fence. He cycled around the building. Through some broken boarding it essentially seemed one large room with facilities with kitchen and rest room to the side. This was certainly the model he was looking for. But who owned the place? As so often: nothing.

The voice came from nowhere and startled Jo.
He turned and someone was pacing across the ground toward him.
Possibly said Jo. I’m looking for some property possible 1 year rental and this might be perfect. I was just wondering who to contact: there’s no sign.

He approached the door, undid two separate double locks, put his shoulder to it, walked in and flung open a couple of windows.
