When we have a conversation in business it is generally about content: FY17 strategy, the expenses policy, the re-org. This will work better if we precede it with a process conversation: how we will tackle the subject, make decisions and agree actions. Of course having the latter appears to take extra time. But it does ensure the former runs more smoothly.
