- The challenge with this one is no curriculum for the subject has ever been clearly defined.
- For some it means they dislike their job, for others they are simply too busy and never get any time for their own interests, or it's the 8pm conference call on a Friday evening or...
- So step 1 in revising this part of the course called 'life' is to define it.
- What is perfect work/life balance for you?
- And if you are sharing your life , it would be good to know his/her view, too.
- Once defined, the essential tactics are:
- Zone. Zone 1 is your personal time; agreed with all. Zone 2 is you and your partner time; agreed with all. Zone 3 is you and one of your children; agreed with all.
- Add one; drop on. Life throws a stack of wonderful opportunities but take on too many and none are any fun. When you add something into your life, take something away. Have time to breathe, slow cook and eat a meal, stare at the moon for a while.
- Set your Personal Compass: your six directions of career, wellness, money, relationships, fun and contribution.
- You'll need to be on top of your Productivity Dozen to make these happen.
