Question: Where do I find the (loads of) money I need to start my own business?
It's the wrong question: instead ask 'how can I create a simple sustainable start-up which doesn't require 1000s of dollars/pounds/euros?'
Why? (1) It's dangerously easy to not plan when you have an (initially) generously funded business. But eventually the money will run out. And then, where's the strategy? (2) It keeps the firm under your control if you do not need external backers; later you can decide the experts you wish to bring in (3) Risk is reduced; many business owners admit they didn't really know what they were doing until they got out into the markets; the scalable business allows learning without diaster.
