18: Clearly prioritisation must happen. There will always be too much to do. So the real question is against what criteria do you prioritise? S/He who shouts loudest? Gut feeling? Sheer anxiety? Easy to do? Fun to do? Next on the list? A quick one? A cool one? The late one? The early one? Paid to do?
True prioritisation only happens when we consciously, proactively choose how to spend our time rather than being simply buffeted by the next wave of e-mail.
