7. No 'rule' of productivity can be sacrosanct. Clearly to 'be productive' with writing your novel it might be ideal to schedule a writing time and a writing target, say 1000 words a day written before work at 0630 rain or shine. But one Saturday it might be immensely, hugely and breakthrough productive to 'bunk off' the time and target and walk the city, carefree. And then on Sunday discover we can produce 6340 words of high quality output from a fresh inspiration and with minimal apparent effort. So, when do we know? When is a guideline to be stuck to? When might we be missing the oblique approach to a high output?
Ahhh, if only it were that easy. The goal is to keep a clear head. A head so aware that we are conscious when our productivity methodologies are actually making us less productive. TBC. TBC indeed.
