- Have a plan. It being (probably) disrupted doesn't lessen in any way its ability to give you considerable focus. A 3 by 5 card is all it takes.
- Keep work to work e.g. don't allow the summer vacation to become an opportunity to 'catch up on paperwork'. Give yourself permission. With the deepest rest comes clarity, energy and positivity, foundations of great productivity.
- Find a system which allows you to take notes and importantly identify the actions. If low-tech paper based, try dividing the page vertically LHS 2/3 and RHS 1/3. On the larger LHS take your notes, do your doodles, whatever. But on the thinner RHS bullet your actions as you go. At the end of the meeting you have an action plan.
