Amazing leadership, definitive time management, great parenting: all are dependent upon spectacular personal energy distribution. The perfect pitch, the 1000 words driven out every day, the tough conversation with the roofer: all need great reserves of 'ooomph'. But what are the ratios? Where is the energy currently going? 53% on e-mail, 27% on driving, 15% on surviving the metro, 5% on the kids? 68% on mail, 22% personal relationship, 10% on shopping?

It's worth a bit of measuring, re-calibrating and balancing. Personal energy management isn't everything. But it's a huge contributor to creating the life we seek.
