It's a killer. Literally on the roads, metaphorically in our lives. There's things we want to do but distraction rears its ugly head. A payment to be resolved, an unreasonable client needs helps, a text beeps through. A regretted hour of poor TV, a further hour of surfing the net and some gossip on Facebook.
Distractions are a pain in the butt: easy, seductive and so often a quick win.
But they stop us doing our greatest work which is often not calling out, not so attractive, not so easy. But it is a place for our longer term energies.
Fix those distractions. Squash, eliminate, ban them. Place them the other side of the room, switch them off. Chuck them out finally. Shred them, talk to them, unsubscribe from them.
Distraction: a killer of dreams; a barrier to your greatest work and a drainer of energy.
