Remember 7

1. A telephone cold call to a prospective client is not meant to be easy. Nor necessarily pleasant. It is simply step one on a long haul to fresh pounds/dollars/euros, a well-stuffed pipeline of fruitful customers and a profitable business.
2. Nobody likes arrogance. Humility is a fine line. However you have to get your skills, your tenacity and your resourcefulness noticed. Speak out, speak well and speak constructively in meetings.
3. Apparently there is never ever any time for exercise. But have you tried to find time for illness? Get on the bike, in the pool or out of the car. Take the stairs.
4. It is always worth writing. Or asking. Or texting. Who knows where it might lead?
5. Luck, love and lists of dreams are all man-made. You're that kind of man. Or woman, claro.
6. Sgt. Pepper on vinyl doesn't really sound that much better. It's just the ritual of slipping the disc from sleeve, placing the needle on groove and then sipping the malt is so much more of an experience than the oft-relentless chase through a playlist whilst sipping a latte.
7. Imagine you had to get through a mind-blowing series of hurdles to get to where you are today. The sort of adventures, mishaps and stunts that would make Skyfall look like a training film for kindergarten. Well, you did. Don't blow it now. Live wide, live deep, live long.
