- Practise holding two opposing ideas in your head with equal respect for a few hours.
- Draw the idea.
- Teach the idea.
- Write about the idea.
- Summarise the idea in 1000 words.
- Then in 100 words.
- Then in 10 words.
- Then in a word.
- Slow down so that surfing the world stops and you sink. Into the material.
- Be willing to revise cherished beliefs and facts.
- Be willing to change.
- Take care with language which is our coded represenation of the world.
- "I could never understand Physics". Er, really? Maybe you simply needed better teaching.
- Take a helicopter view.
- Take a 4 by 4 on the surface into the jungle view.
- Learn something different every day.
- Wander and wonder.
- Wonder and meander.
- Meander and imagine.
- Decide to be so: it's an intelligent move.
