- Time (lack of). There will never be enough time for someone with ideas. With family. With plans. With commitments. Make choices by knowing your goals.
- Energy (lack of). Bizarrely as you begin to do stuff and achieve goals and make choices you gain energy. Use it. Or lose it.
- Family (in the way). Kids don't actually stop you doing anything. Give them a chance and they'll stuff envelopes for your next promotional event. And they certainly don't want to hear from you at age 72 how they stopped you realising all your dreams. Share those plans with them and involve them.
- Security (seeking it). There is no security apart from the steady realistion that you are getting better at what you do. Every day.
- Money (wanting it to fund something). Especially in this day and age, start on a shoe-string and earn the money you need to invest. You'll never regret it. And nobody can take your dreams away.
- The economy (wanting it to take off). Huh? as when it takes off, so will many other businesses suddenly appear from nowhere. Now it's just you vs. the economy, that's a clear battle you can win. You vs 150 other price-slashing vendors: that's a less attractive battle.
- Waiting (for the right time). Start today and you'll look back in 12 months time and recognise it was the perfect time.
