The back-story:
Most of the time we'd like to be confident. To ask her out, to present with flair, to believe in our business idea, to finally start our family, to push back on our boss, to take some family time and not worry about e-mail.....Confidence is critical to our success and our health. It's easily lost: a negative comment, a rejection, a subdued audience, poor management. But too much of it and we lose our judgement and we drift towards arrogance.
So: confidence. How to develop it. How not to lose it. And how to use it.
Routes To Confidence 12: Get Back On The Mat

That persistence develops skill which-when repeated-develops mastery which develops confidence. Which with care is transferable. Getting back on the mat is a route to confidence.
