- You
say you want something different;
- You
say this is not what you were destined to
do;
- You
say you were not put on this planet to
delete spam e-mail, eat pizza at 10pm
at night with an exhausted project team nor miss the birthdays of your
children;
- Nor fill in metrics sheets, lie to customers,
sit in endless meetings, listen to bull**it from the chairman, listen to
excuses from the product team…
- You say you want a revolution.
- Sure.
- So,
what’s your manifesto?
- That
is: your Personal Manifesto?
- I’m
simply curious….?
- As
all the best revolutions have one.
- For
clarity;
- for
motivation;
- to
keep on track;
- for
when you are down and lose your way;
- And
when you are up and inspiring others.
- So
what’s yours?
- Exactly?
- Wikipedia
will lead you to many classic examples.
- But
whatever yours is…
- It
needs to be there:
- on
the fridge door to be seen daily;
- reduced,
laminated and stuck in your wallet;
- on
your phone’s opening screen;
- and
poster size in your cubicle.
- How about: in 25?

- 17=Except fear.
- 18=And I have decided I’ve avoided that for
too long, in fact since kindergarten when I got too near the lion’s den when we
visited the Zoo.
- 19=So, fear’s OK. It helps me grow. Keeps me 100% alive, young and focused.
- 20= Oh, And resetting some expectations
- 21=And that’s easy. I just need to talk to people. Explain to my mum. Tell my
boyfriend I love him dearly but I ain’t sitting around waiting for him.
- 22= And starting
- 23=A revolution.
- 24=To make the world a better place.
- 25=Today.
- The greatest Revolution of Our
Generation is the realisation that human beings by changing the inner attitudes
of their minds can change the outer aspect of their lives Williams James
- Every revolution was first a thought
in one man’s mind Ralph Waldo Emerson
- I began a revolution with 82 men.
If I were to do it again I would do it with 10 or 15 men of absolute faith. It
does not matter how small you are if you have absolute faith Fidel Castro
- Revolution is not a dinner party,
nor an essay, nor a painting, nor a piece of embroidery; it cannot be advanced
softly, gradually, considerately, respectfully, politely, plainly and
modestly. Mao Tse Tung.
