1.Crush your current packet and do it with drama reminding yourself what a prat you are still to be buying those things..
2.Work hard at having a coffee or a pint without a cigarette.
3.Agree a no-smoking pact with someone else.
4.Start your smoking-if you have to-1h later in the day and finish 1h earlier.
5.Create a clear and measured time-line showing an ever-reducing cigarette in-take over the next few days.
6.Stop defending your smoking: 'I'm under a lot of pressure' etc.
